Hello, friends and family!
Dr. Seuss has a wonderful line about nobody alive being Youer than You. He’s right.
There’s a part of you that’s untouched, unharmed, a part of you that couldn’t be gotten rid of if you tried. That is your authenticity-well and you must acknowledge it’s there. Because it is. In you, me, and them. Like pure, syrupy sap. We ALL have it and it’s one-billion percent unique to each of us. Have you felt into yours lately, like since you were two?
What if you spent time tapping your well instead of improving the person you believe you ought to be? Do you need to improve or do you need to unfurl? My guess is the latter.
Say, there’s an app I use for gentle reminders throughout my day. It’s called Yapp. It’s remarkably simple. Type what you choose. Here are the notes that pop up on my phone:
Drink water, please. Your body is thirsty.
What if I’m doing it right?
What do I want right now?
What’s the opposite?
How do I want to be right now?
And a few others I’ll keep to my authentic self.
Thank you for bearing with an unbearably short newsletter this week. Sometimes it’s this way. Still, you’re loved. ❤️
After buttering you up, telling you you’re loved and crap (OMG you are!), I have a favor: Would you respond to me with topics, ideas, and even questions you’d enjoy hearing about or having me answer in upcoming newsletters? Whatever comes to you first—send it. I appreciate you.
What I love BEST in your newsletter is your sign-off each week: my prescription.
I love the range you currently offer in your newsletters, Simone. I have loved reading about your children, your personal approach to blending work into your life, your pride in (and learning from) your parents/ancestors, your recipes.
Your ability to call it like it is gave me the courage to put out remixes and short newsletters while I was on vacation with my family. So you are, again, a trendsetter!
I just enjoy your random thoughts and things you are enjoying/ loving. i always learn something and am always entertained by your thoughts from the mundane to the profound.
