You served Emma and others like her. 3 words for my last coffee date:

Whoa -- Glad to hear Emma is okay!

Also, "Close your eyes, listen for the laughter, problems will fade." This is so beautiful.

Thank you. Yes, Emma is okay. She's not interested in engaging in substances anytime soon—so there's that. Also, I'm noticing John opening up more and it's really nice.

Indeed, there's that! Also, your exchanges with John has been one of my favorite things to experience on here. It's such a needed & good slice of humanity.

I'm so glad you like it. It's remarkable to me when I consider the situation. Sometimes it feels entirely normal—probably because I don't know his conditions and he doesn't know mine. I truly know he's reformed, but nothing can bring back the people he killed, so here we are.

Having just begun our journey together, literally days into learning about one another, and being in this fragile state of ‘newness’, I could’ve certainly formulated a critical opinion, or tucked my tail, and ran the other direction by witnessing such an unfolding with you and E.

However, I witnessed perhaps one of the most compassionate and tender moments of pure love that a Mom shows to her child. By being a part of the moment, with you reaching out to me to find support, I was witness to a vulnerable side of you both that I still honor.

I don’t think it honestly matters if it was a gummy, cleaning solution under the sink or anything else, so many possibilities exist that our kids can get into, but the more important lesson is that you handled it with grace, responsibility and accountability that avoided true consequences or dangers.

So recanting this story now should be a lesson to us all, that despite circumstances, we should always follow our values and heart and intuition despite perceived judgement, even when sharing after the fact…

If anything, it was a huge lesson to me that you are a great Mom and lovely human to partner with. ❤️

Thank you! It happens too often and it’s somewhat easy to prevent.

What a super great story. Thanks for sharing now vs never! I have been talking about Gummies and kids all week - so hearing your story was extra timely! I wish green meant 1g, yellow 5g etc. it’s super scary that there is no differentiator by colour or size or 🦒 - like there is for 🍷 vs 🍺 vs a 🍸

Glad everyone was ok and now others can learn too - no judgement.
