how inspiring- loved to read this Letter and the letter to Paul. i can imagine him reading it and feeling hope. oh I wish I could go to your vision board night. hopefully the next time around.... I have never made it to the point where I could accumulate even 1 whole journal because I would reread an entry, want to 🤢and then rip out page and throw away.

love your word for the year ... it is a go-to for me as well .

How interesting, Kate. You edit your journal entries as you go, therefore, you don't write in them :) I wouldn't either with this strategy. Cringe. Someday in the future you can join me in visioning and surrendering. ❤️

Beautiful letter to Paul. Such deep thoughts, lightly delivered. As always.

Simone, this issue is beautiful. I really enjoyed reading it. “Growth feels like the awareness that what was is no longer” made me think and I took a note of it for future reference. I loved your letter to Paul, and the fact that you wrote it because “life asked you to”, first and foremost. So thank you for your thoughtful writing, it always gets exactly where it’s supposed to. (P.S. gaining 20lbs on gelato in Rome made me laugh out loud.)

Years ago. Maybe more like 29 years ago (I know this because my oldest kid is almost 28). I burned all my old journals, in the fire. It was releasing and scary but necessary at the time. It’s been almost three decades and I can still see many of my words and pages in my mind. I still remember most of it and occasionally have wished I could look back to clarify. But no regrets. What’s interesting is that I keep on keeping journals of sorts. I don’t even think it’s for the record, the act of writing physically on paper releases the feelings or helps with the process of letting go. Cheers to the surrender!
