I, too, love the never better suggestion as well as the 3 words to describe. Intrigued by the basil tip, but need further details. Great newsletter! And fun to see pics of your kiddos.

Definitely going to try “Never better.” My late father in law always said, “finer than toad hair.” I’ve adopted it but it’s situational. I’ve been looking for alternatives, especially for successive meetings with the same group of people.

Also can’t wait to use the “Three Words to Describe” technique, particularly on one of my especially verbose pals. I’m betting he will just ignore it and continue to deliver his traditional never ending monologues.

Thanks, Simone, for continuing to amuse and delight!

Also, thank you, Len. I want to hear if three words to describe helps. It's a good one for many, many situations.

"Never better" is the best! I also like "Finer than toad hair." :)

Confused re basil plant--do you mean one that is potted in soil?? When I buy the Trader Joe one’s thinking the same as you (costs similar might as well get a living plant etc) they seem to grow bugs and die fast 😩

"Grow bugs, die fast" words to live by.

Take the plastic potted plant, as is, and stick it in a dish with some water, by some sunlight (if possible). The plastic store pot has drainage holes and the roots will soak up the water they need — which is far more than I knew. 🌱

This also works great for wheatgrass (I have a cat that loves this stuff like she is a cow)

Good to know. Cats and grass equals cats and throw up (at my house).
